Evaluation & Diagnosis
We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for both children and adults, tailored to each individual's unique needs. Our assessments include in-depth clinical interviews, neurocognitive evaluations, and autism evaluations, supported by quantitative tools such as the Continuous Performance Test (CPT) and quantitative EEG (QEEG). We take a thorough, evidence-based approach to understanding each patient's history, symptoms, and strengths — ensuring an accurate diagnosis that serves as the foundation for effective, personalized care.

Psychiatric Evaluation Measures
Quantitative EEG
(QEEG)
-
A non-invasive brain mapping tool.
-
Measure the power and frequency of brain waves (delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma), and generates color-coded topographic maps (z-scores) that highlight areas of hypo- or hyper-activity and abnormal connectivity.
-
It is an Objective biomarkers: QEEG helps objectify neurophysiological underpinnings in mood, neurodevelopmental, and cognitive disorders.
-
It provides supportive insight into ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), dementia (such as early Alzheimer's), and epilepsy.
-
Provides objective data to guide personalized treatment planning and treatment results monitoring for different treatment interventions such as pharmacotherapies, rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation), tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation), or neurofeedback.
-

Attention Deficit Evaluation
with
Connor Continuous Performance Test
(CCPT3)
-
A computerized 14 minutes assessment test.
-
Quantitatively measures 4 areas; attention, impulsivity, sustained attention and vigilance.
-
The CCPT is valuable in evaluating ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), concussions, Stroke recovery, Major Neurocognitive disorder( formerly known as Dementia).
-
Age range: 8 years and older.
-
It is not a standalone test.
-

Autism Spectrum Evaluation
and other
Neurocognitive & Developmental Assessment
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): comprehensive evaluation for children and Adults using, DSM-5 Based interviewing and behavioral observation, and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) as a gold standard tool.
-
Ordering labs and imaging such as; blood tests, genetic testing, CT, MRI, PET scan order and referral.
-
Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion evaluation and management and referral to psychologist for comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation.
-
Neuropsychiatric evaluation and diagnosis for Individualized Education Program (IEP).
-
Management of psychiatric comorbidity with anoxic brain injuries, rare genetic and mutational disorders, rare and retractive seizure disorders.
-
Covered by most insurances.
Major Neurocognitive Disorder (formerly known as Dementia) Assessment
-
Comprehensive neuropsychiatric evaluation and specific testing for diagnosis, cognitive & executive functioning, memory, associated risk factors such as fall and lost, and precipitating factors for agitation.
-
MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment): High sensitivity for detecting mild cognitive impairment across memory, executive function, and attention.
-
MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination): Traditionally used to gauge moderate-to-severe cognitive change, though less sensitive in early stages.
-
Mini-Cog or Clock Drawing Test: Rapid checks for recall and visuospatial planning.
-
Referral for Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation: administered by a neuropsychologist if initial screening is inconclusive or to map out specific cognitive domains (language, executive function, visuospatial skills, and memory).
-
Labs and Imaging order and referral: MRI, PET scans (such as FDG-PET or amyloid/tau PET) or SPECT scans. Blood tests for special Biomarkers such as APOE (Apolipoprotein E) Gene Test for genetic predisposition and prognosis and Phosphorylated Tau (p-tau) Protein Test.
